  • Cycle to Work scheme: save up to 42% on the cost of a new bike

The BAML UK ‘Cycle to Work’ scheme allows you to take advantage of the government initiative that offers bikes through salary sacrifice meaning you can save 32-42% on the cost of a new bicycle and cycling gear. You can download a form from the MyBenefits pages of the Flagscape portal to participate in the scheme.

Each employee can spend up to £1000 on a bicycle, accessories and other cycling equipment. What you purchase is up to you. You don’t even have to purchase a bike and can spend the full amount on cycling gear.

There are over 500 brands to choose from wtihin the Cyclescheme network. You can use the retail finder here to search for participating shops in your area.

The savings calculator here lets you see how much you can save.

Put simply you choose a bike, hire it for 12 months then pay a fraction of its original value after a year to own it outright. This final payment will not exceed £70 if you take the extended use option. More details can be found in the Cyclescheme FAQs here.
