Travel by Train

As our Bromley office is located right next to Bromley South Rail Station travelling to work by train will be a realistic option for many people. With regular links to a wide range of destinations including London Victoria (16 minutes), Orpington (11 minutes) and Gillingham (37 minutes) commuting by train can be much quicker and cheaper than the same journey by car.

Slightly further afield from the office to the north of the town centre Bromley North Rail Station provides a range of alternative journey options by train, with a 20 minute frequency link to destinations including Grove Park and Sundridge Park.

  • Plan a journey by train

There are numerous online information websites for train travel – many offer discounted ticket sales too. The two most popular journey planning tools for train travel are The TrainLine or National Rail Enquiries

On the latter you can find out more on station facilities, operators and even download your own personalised timetable.

The other alternative when planning a train journey in London is to visit the TfL website where a range of information is available including an easy to use journey planner - Click here
  • Paying for journeys by train

Whilst you can simply turn up at the train station and purchase a ticket for a single journey, if your trip is a regular commute a period ticket will be much better value. National Rail offer a season ticket calculator so you can work out how much your regular commute will be – and more importantly how much you’ll save compared to buying a ticket each day! Click here for more information.

If you are making a one off journey to Bromley by train you can make savings by booking in advance - either by calling into any train station, via The TrainLine or through the website for the train operating company for the service you are using (for most people this will be South Eastern Trains

You can now also pay for journeys on suburban train services which both start and finish within zones 1- 9 using your Oyster. For further details please click here, where you can also register an Oyster online account. An online account allows you to receive weekly or monthly email statements and see your journey history for the last 8 weeks along with what you have paid.
  • Rail maps

  • Commuter Club - Annual Ticket Savings Without the Commitment

If you are unable to receive a season ticket loan from BAML, as a contracted member of staff, Commuter Club enables you to access the savings of an annual ticket, whilst paying monthly and having the flexibility of being able to cancel at anytime without worry.

You can find out how it works here.
