Travel Disruptions
For those who are still travelling to and from Park Place to work during the current Coronavirus shutdown period, the MyCommute team can offer help and support to outline your current travel options. Whilst the Bank does not advise the use of public transport during this period there are also extensive restrictions on service frequencies meaning for many it is not a viable option.

Travel By Train to Park Place

As our Park Place office is located within a 20-minute walk or 10-minute bicycle ride from Pearse Rail Station travelling to work by train will be a realistic option for many people. With regular links to a wide range of destinations via Dart and rail, including Newbridge (53 minutes), Maynooth (62 minutes) and Drogheda (60 minutes) commuting by train can be much quicker and cheaper than the same journey by car.

  • Paying for journeys by DART

    There are a number of ways to pay for your journey by DART. Which one suits you best will depend upon how often you travel however it is important to get it right as there as some significant savings to be made.

    Tax Saver Tickets: Save up to 52%
    Tax Saver Commuter tickets are best suited to those who travel by public transport on a frequent basis. The cost of a ticket is deducted from your salary before taxation allowing you to save up to 52% on the cost of the ticket. Tax Saver tickets, which can be either monthly or annual, should be ordered via MyBenefits.

    Leap Cards
    Leap Card is the new way to pay for travel around Dublin. It is suited to those who travel infrequently but want to save some money, and can be used on Luas, Dublin Bus, DART and Commuter Rail services.

    All you need to do is buy your Leap Card, top it up with travel credit and away you go. You will always be charged the cheapest fare option which can be up to 18% cheaper than cash fares when using the DART. What's more, if you use your Leap card regularly within any 1 day or 7 day period the cost of your travel will be capped at the price you would have paid for a flexi ticket.

    Single & Return Tickets
    Single and return tickets are suited to those who are making a one off journey. Tickets can be bought from the DART station, and are the most expensive way of paying for your journey.
