Travel by Bus
As you’d expect, being in London, there is an extensive network of local bus services available around Bromley. The Bromley office is located just around the corner from the High Street in the town centre, which provides access to over 15 regular bus services throughout the day time and evening. Together these services combine to provide a high level of provision whether your journey is local or you are travelling to destinations slightly further afield.
Due to the large number of bus services available, there isn’t much point in us providing individual timetable information for the local services. Instead, we’d recommend you use a journey planner, as the time or day you’re travelling may change which service you’re better off using, find out more in the ‘Planning a Journey’ section below.
If you still need access to bus timetables in London, however, you can find them on the TfL website, using the link below.
Remember… buses in London no longer take cash payments, but you can now pay for single trips on the bus using any contactless payment method, making it even more convenient for those who only use the bus occasionally!

Travel by Train
In Bromley, we are fortunate to have an Overground Rail system which crosses and orbits the city, reaching further into the suburbs than the Tube network. However, most of these local lines connect with the Tube which provides an easy and convenient way of travelling to Bromley!
The Bromley office benefits from being close to two train stations – Bromley North and Bromley South.
Bromley South Station
The Bromley office is right next to Bromley South train station, just a couple of minutes away on foot or by bike (secure cycle storage facilities are available at the station). Bromley South is in London fare zone 5 and from the station you can travel to a wide range of places within 35 minutes including London Victoria, Orpington, Gillingham, St Mary Cray, Rochester, Swanley and many more.
Bromley North Station
Bromley North train station is just north of the town centre. You can get to the station in just over 5 minutes on your bike, or in around 12 minutes on foot. Alternatively, there are regular bus services to the station from the stops on High Street taking around 7 minutes. Bromley North is in London fare zone 4 and is served by frequent services to Grove Park and Sundridge Park.
Status Updates
It’s helpful to have information on service level and any disruptions before setting off on your journey. TfL has a really useful Status Update page on its website, allowing you to see any delays or upcoming planned disruptions for travel on all of the public transport networks in London. Follow the link below to view service status.
Planning a Journey
There are a number of great options available for those looking to plan a journey by public transport, especially in London! There’s no need to spend time flicking through timetables to figure out which services work best for you – online journey planners do all that for you!
Below are some of our recommendations for planning a journey in and around London.
Now available on both Apple and Android devices, TfL has released an app which allows you to plan your journey, see live updates on all Tube, Tram, DLR, London Overground and TfL Rail lines, explore alternative or step-free routes and even plan your walking/cycling journey!
Paying for a Journey
Paying for journeys in London couldn’t be simpler, use your contactless card or mobile device on all buses, Tubes, tram, DLR, Overground and most TfL rail services. It makes occasional journeys on public transport really easy and your fares will even be capped so you don’t pay more if you make multiple journeys in one day.
However, if your journey is more regular then you could be making some serious savings on season tickets rather than one-off payments. We’ve created a handy ticket guide for London to help you figure out the best ticket for you!
