Cycle Facilities @ Central Park

Hopefully, the following section will tell you everything you need to know about cycling to work!

Storing Your Bike

There are 156 cycle storage spaces inside the basement car park available to staff, within two cycle parking locations at Central Park.  There are 10 spaces located in the lower ground floor basement car park directly outside the entrance to Block D.  There is also a shared communal cycle storage facility in the underground car park which can be accessed by all registered occupiers at Central Park. There are 146 cycle parking spaces within two swipe card activated cages. Next to the cycle storage are changing rooms with lockers and shower facilities.

Please contact the security team at the reception desk to obtain access to these facilities.

You can register for the Bike User Group and let us know you’ll be using the cycle storage at Dublin by clicking here.

A Few T&Cs

To manage the cycle storage areas, there are a few conditions of use.  If you have any issues just give the MyCommute team a shout though by emailing dublin@my-commute.com or using the contact page.

  1. It’s bike parking not bike storage – we need to make sure the spaces are available for staff who commute by bike every day, not somewhere to store a bike.  We totally appreciate there might be the odd day (like if it starts raining) where you decide to leave your bike at work and travel home by another mode.  We also need to be able to deep clean the areas on a regular basis.  For this reason, we will be undertaking regular clearances of the cycle racks and ask that you ensure your bike is not left on site at weekends to facilitate this.  If something comes up and you can’t take your bike home on a Friday afternoon, let us know and we’ll sort something out!
  2. Lock Storage Points – Regular cyclists will all know that carrying your lock with you every day is a pain and we don’t want to stop you from leaving a lock at work.  We do need to ensure we can clean the racks properly though and want to make sure old locks are removed to free up spaces.  We are therefore creating two lock storage points; one outside on the taxi rank area and one in the basement car park.  These will be a normal cycle hoops but with yellow stripes.  Cyclists will need to make sure they put their lock on one of these two hoops each Friday before leaving the site so the rest of the area can be cleaned.
  3. Fair Use of Lockers – As explained before we are introducing coin operated lockers so that we can better manage them and ensure they are not preserved for someone who isn’t regularly cycling.  If you want to store items in a locker during the week that’s fine but note that we’ll be opening up all lockers each weekend to deep clean.  Any items in lockers will be bagged up and kept by security for collection.
